Questions, bugs, a purchase that did not arrive: write to support@kqar.cc. Say which device and which version you are on (Settings, at the bottom) and what you expected to happen.
Getting started
- Install Hooty on your Mac. With Homebrew:
brew install --cask KQAR/hooty/hooty. Or download the disk image from the latest release. Hooty runs in the menu bar. - Show a pairing code. In the Hooty menu on your Mac, choose Pairing code…. The code works once and for one minute.
- Pair your phone. In the Hooty app: Settings › Pair a host › Scan the code. Your agents’ sessions appear on the wall.
Hooty Pro
- Buy, restore or manage Hooty Pro in the app: Settings › Hooty Pro.
- Cancel a subscription in your phone’s Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. It stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
- On a new phone, use Restore Purchases with the same Apple Account.
- Refunds are handled by Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com.
If the phone cannot reach the Mac
- Check that the Mac is awake and Hooty is running in the menu bar.
- On the same Wi-Fi, allow Hooty local network access in the phone’s Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network.
- Still stuck: pair again with a fresh code, or write to us.
